Here at First Baptist Church we believe in giving Thanks for all that the Lord has blessed us with. That means sharing those blessings with others.
Each year we hold a Free Community Wide Thanksgiving Dinner. It began with only a few hundred people. But, as the years have gone by and as the Lord has blessed us, it has quickly grown to where we feed over 1500 each year. Everyone is encouraged to come dine with us. We have visitors from all over stop in and eat a traditional meal of turkey, ham, dressing, hot rolls, dessert and much much more.
The Boy Scouts help make deliveries to the elderly that are shut ins and the local Youth help serve in the Fellowship Hall. It is a great spirit of Thankfulness and Appreciation for what the Lord has done for us.
There's Gospel singing in the Sanctuary and such an outpouring of good Christian Fellowship that you find yourself wonderfully lost in the spirit of the Lord.
